God no. I grew up in the late 60's early 70's. It was so much more family oriented and non-commercial. It was more "homey". We didn't have tons of video games and a zillion channels on cable or satellite. They played all the Christmas shows on TV over a week's period of time and you looked forward to it. It was a big deal! It was so much fun! We wanted bikes one year and we all got bikes but weren't allowed out to ride them because it snowed. We got such cool toys.... we actually played with toys.... we were creative and made stuff up and it was so great. We got candy in our stockings and other than then and Easter, we never got candy. It was a huge treat! Back then kids were kids....not kids trying to be adults. We used to go to my Aunt and Uncle's house on Christmas Eve for dinner and we were there for hours and hours. We used to play and eat and sing Christmas carols. They had 6 in their family and so did we, so we had a bunch of us. It was so special. I would absolutely love to experience that again and have it be like that for my nephew. I miss those times so very much.

Merry Christmas!

No!! People trivialize it now and place a lot of emphasis on gift giving and being superficial rather than looking deeper into the real significance of Christmas.

No I don't. It's lost some of the magic and wonder. Maybe because we are now responsible for the money part and all the responseiblities that come with it.

No Christmas is not the same. It is much more comercialized now than it was 20 years ago.
