I have a desktop and if any of you have one or another computer you can tell me anything.

I'm going to assume you're talking about desktop PC's and laptop PC's.
Laptops use less power, but are also less powerful (slower). Desktops are customizable and are much more powerful than their laptop "siblings" at a given price level.
Laptops are portable, and some laptops can last the whole day.
Desktops are also bigger but can be made very quiet (almost silent) by using high-quality fans.

well mac computers don't get viruses that much. and the good thing about them is that you can take them ANYWHERE. london, france, friend's house. and they're not as bulky. i might consider gettting one of the sonys that are super tiny...they can fit anywhere. even in some purses...
