You should totally regift it, just make sure that when you do it that that person doesn't go to your work place or knows your boss that way he/she will never know that you gave it to someone else. I have regifted things before and I don't let on and I make sure that I give them to friends that don't know the person that gave it to me to begin with.

If it's not a good bottle of Champagne or if you don't drink that would be considered a regift. Make sure you don't gave it to a co worker though other than that regift away.

Re-gifting is your prerogative. A gift is given to you to do with it whatever you choose. If you won't drink the Champagne, then you should re-gift it. The original giver of the Champagne gave it to YOU and now it is yours to drink, share, store, or re-gift. Happy Holidays!

As long as the gift is in "new" condition and the giftee has never seen it in your house or gave it to you then it is fine. I re-gift often only because I can't use the gift for me so I give it to someone who would be a good "fit". Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

I have never done it but if the person you are giving it to (and anyone else around when giving the gift) doesnt know your boss then I think it will be fine.

It all depends what I am given. I am very particular what candles I burn in my house. If its not a Yankee Candle, I dont burn it. So if I get a candle or something I really dont want, I'll regift it.

I've only done it a couple of times. I'm always afraid that somehow the recipient will find out it's a " give-away " gift!
