Yes. I tend to become very uptight and sometimes grouchy. It's the unknown! Fear makes me stress out. I don't like feeling like I'm not in control.

I hate to admit it, but yes. When I am reacting from a fear base, things tend to spiral quickly into something very volatile. The fear usually transforms into anger & then rage before the inevitable explosion. That's one of the reasons I try very hard to maintain control. It's a defensive mechanism that works well in life threatening situations, but it isn't very suitable for every day events.

Ya, I think that fear sometimes controls your actions. I mean if someone wants you to murder someone for them, and obviously you fear that, you aren't going to do it probably. Hope I was of some use!

I use fear as a tool to keep safe at work. I'm afraid of heights (or falling from them) and I work construction. I'm constantly on ladders, roofs, manlifts, and scaffolding. My fear is what helps remind me to be safe while working high off the ground.
There is nothing wrong with fearing what can hurt you...

Fear hinders progress. I fear rejection or failure so I don't try.
Fear makes you cautious. I'm afraid of heights so I take the stairs instead of elevators.

Sure does!
In the mornings I get up on my feet slow, fear my legs will buckle and I will fall. This has happened before and it hurts. Specially when I fell on the wood stove! That burned me!
