Many people go to tanning beds, but it is still harmful to your skin over a period of time. I'm very lucky at my age not to have alot of wrinkles, but if only I wouldnt of layed out in the sun so often, and I did a couple of times get sun poisoning on my face in Cancun and Jamaica, which didn't help, and eventually you can tell especially under the eye area the damage that was done, and then its too late. I have many friends that have had skin cancer as well from my generation, and it is quite scarry!

One year when i was like 20, I tried it almost regulary for a few months, and didn't burn but noticed a slight discoloration spot on my face after that time. I never stepped foot in there again! Outdoor beach tanning never even gave me that. It might be ok for special occasions, but the sun is better. And going regularly to fake'n'bake is just stupid. Plus, I think people look horrible when they are more than a couple shades darker than their normal color, sorry its just so obvious (especially around the eye area) and the red tint they sometimes get is gross!

Even though I know it's not good for your skin, I LOVE IT! I love tanning in doors. After the tanning I feel like I can kiss a girl (woman) and get away with it. LOL.

I think it is a good way to get cancer if you do it regularly. I think the only real benefit of something like that is if you live in a cooler climate and want to initiate your skin to some UV rays to get a base tan before you go to a hotter sunnier climate and dont burn your skin to death.

Not good for you at all. Try a sunless tanning cream or a lotion that gives you a hint of color. We all like to have a little color, but when they start cutting of cancer or worse, you will wish you hadn't tanned.

As in tanning beds? They may be more damaging to your skin than regular sun exposure, because it's more concentrated.

It probably works if that's all you can do, but nothing beats a trip to the clothing optional beach!
