Dancer and Vixen are both females Prancer is too. They have to because they are the only 3 names I can remember not only that they are too cute names not to be. :-}

Technically speaking...
Male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid December. Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.
Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, every single one of them, from Rudolf to Blitzen ... had to be a female.

Well, according to her name, Vixen must be. Probably Dancer, too. But get this: I've read that, while all adult reindeer have antlers during part of the year, the male ones shed theirs in late summer or fall. The females, however, keep theirs all year round. So any reindeer with antlers at Christmas must be female!

Here's info that ALL of them are girls:
Male reindeer drop their antlers after the rut, but females keep their antlers until spring when they give birth.
Besides- only women would drag around a fat guy in a velvet suit and not have to stop for directions.

Actually they all would be female, according to pictures. Females keep their antlers in the winter.

To tell you the truth I don't know but I thought it would be nice to see other people answers so most of them are girls. I say half and half because the women need a bit of man power to help them. At the same time the men need the women so they can impress them and keep them going
