Last year I bought The Bubblegum Hit Pack CD at Wal-Mart.
The entire CD is the exact replica of the vinyl Album The Best of Buddah Records. I own it but it is very warped but still plays. I could not believe my good fortune that I found it on a CD. Thank You BMG Marketing!!!!!!

There was great bubble gum music in the 60's and 70's. I saw an old record player with a sticker on it saying "I get high on bubble gum".

The king of bubble gum songs is Sugar Sugar by the Archies in the 60'sw

they did play music... it was usually distorted and got worse as they were designed for an old fashioned record player with a needle that would gouge the bubble gum as it passed over it... better records were put on the backs of cereal boxes... check the source box for an example of the bubblegum records

Actually, the Fifties is home for bubble gum
rock and roll.
The late 70's and well into the 80's was indeed
the best of music. (for my ears, anyway)
The groups were really gifted. And, the synthesizers
gave a whole new sound to music. In fact, the 80's
comprise half of my music collection.

I remember I had a few of those in high school. no, they didn't play music. the gum was mediocre...kind of like the gum you get with baseball cards. maybe just a little bit better. I think I saved a few of the mini album covers in a high school scrap book I have.

I remember those.

I had ABBA "Voulez Vous" and Billy Joel "Glass Houses", among others.

No... they would not actually play music. I think they had lyrics on them however. Not sure if it was just one song, or if it was the whole album, however. One song, I think.

The gum was crappy. It didn't even smell nice like baseball card gum.
