Ocarina of Time for the recent past... but best of all time is the original, old school Legend of Zelda on the original Nintendo. Can't beat that for it's time!

At this point, it's hard to say. Twilight Princess is an amazing game, possibly better than Ocarina of Time...

These are the games that I have played and own and I think in that order those are my favorites. yeah, shoot me, I put the original Zelda last, I just didn't like it as much as The Adventure of Link and Oracle of Ages.

I'd have have to say the Newest One, Twilight Princess. It's pretty awesome and it also has all kinds of new things that aren't in the older games. I think they really outdid themselves trying to create something new and it makes great use of the new controlers which make it really fun to just sit there and four hours on end (not that i couldn't do that before, but it ads a whole new experience to it)
