Not at all. They are made so you will advertise for free for the companies. Not only that but you are paying them to be a walking billboard for them.

Logos on clothes are important or not is depending on what's the brand strategy is. It's all about branding for the company and what's the most effective way to achieve brand recognition. So some companies choose to have their name emblazzon across a shirt ( a tacky solution in my opinion) while other approach it as a small logo in the front (nike swoosh) or incorporate it within the design. ( a quick example would be adidas. Using its 3 stripes logo as graphic elements on the side of the pants are a pretty nice solution for incorporating the logo.)

I don't buy clothes just because they have a certain logo. I only buy what I like. However in saying that sometimes buying a certain brand does have its benefits once you realise that the brand is good quality and you know that you wont have problems with it.

Nope, none of the brands pay me to advertise their brand. So, I wear what I like (and preferably without any labels on the outside, only on the inside where they belong).

It was ingenious to convince the american public pay to advertise your company. I dispise logos for this reason.

They shouldn't be..but that is what ends up happening. And everyone wants everyone else to know that they are wearing a cool brand. You want people to think you are cool and everyone out there feels that. It is what our world has come to.
