Firefox is a good browser (your looking for browsers not web sites if your looking for alternatives to internet explorer) The only problem is not all pages show up exactly as they were intended to. It isn't a huge problem, and you may not even notice anyway. Firefox also has the option to change the look of all the buttons and has add-ons...all of which are free. It definately has many advantages over internet explorer.
