I loveddddddd Paul Lynde! he was so funny, but went through so much personal turmoil because of his sexuality and never publicly acknowledged he was gay. Most of his fans never knew, until his passing in 82. Who didn't crack up at Uncle Arthur on Bewitched - he was my favorite character on the show and Hollywood squares wouldn't have been the same without his wit & humor.

Yes, I always liked Paul Lynde. He was good in Bye Bye Birdie, funny in Bewitched and entertaining in the center square.

Yeah, he was great. Loved all of his movies and TV appearances. Don't recall him doing much after the center square stint on Hollywood Squares, though. I also loved Don Rickles.

Oh, he was so funny on Bewitched as Uncle Arthur and yeah, you're right his laugh was so funny and infectious. I watched Bye, Bye, Birdie, but don't remember him in that. I'll just have to rent the video and watch it again.

The ultimate Center Square!
His Templeton could kick Buscemi's any day!

I love how Roger on 'American Dad' sounds just like him.

I loved him. He was the perfect character actor. I loved Uncle Arthur, too, and his character in "Bye, Bye Birdie". Thanks for reminding me about him!
