Okay I hope im not getting to exictied for nothing but me and my husband have been trying for a baby for 5 months. I took a hpt tonight got a faint postive line. Only thing is I didnt get to check it for 5 min after I took it. Does a false postive show up on a EPT Early test if you dont check it in the 3 min it tells you to????? Is there such thing as a false postive???? Thanks for all your help!!!!!!!

Yes there is such a thing but even a faint line means positive, it means that you are carring some of the preganate hormones that make that line apear..my opion....congrats! I'd make a dr appt.

You are going to have to take another test. I think i heard that after 10 minutes of not checking it you can get a false response. You checked it after 5 minutes but to make sure you should take another test. It doesn't matter though if there is a faint line, a line is a line. So if the line is strong or faint you will still be pregnant. Good luck!

They usually stay just as they became after 2 min. The only way to know is to have blood drawn and get the FSH level and what ever other hormone it is from a lutinizing folicle, check with the Doctor don't torment yourself! Good luck!

My test did the same thing and I was pregnant. I think if you read on the box it says not to read the results after like 10 min. Good luck!

i always used ept & i did get a very faint line once.. As long as there is some kinda line no matter how faint it is...you are pregnant

i think ur probably pregnant, its just really early......same thing happened with me the line was soooooo faint i wasent sure, so i went to the doctor to confirm it and turns out i was 4 weeks pregnant, it was just so early thats why it was so faint, and now im 39wks and 3 days pregnant.....i would say YES u are pregnant!

it sounds like you are pregnant. From what I have experienced is that whenever there is a line no matter how faint it is..usually means you are pregnant. If so, Congrats to you!!!
