not all single moms,are single because they cheated,or are easy s l u t s.some are, because the man,didnt want the responsability of a child,and left them.some are because,they had abusive husbands.but why,are single moms categorized,as easy?

They just don't get a lot of men interested in a ready made family
so their choice is casual sex or no sex...

I honestly had no idea that single mothers had this image. As a man let me say that I am sorry if this has been your experience. I am a married man with children and in the past year my wife has been working sixty hour weeks and sometimes I feel like a single parent. I have nothing but respect for single parents, particularly single mothers because as a group women earn less money and are more likely to work more difficult jobs for less wages than men. Some of us out here have nothing but respect for a single woman trying her best to raise children in difficult times.

I'm a little lost...I've never heard of single moms being categorized as easy. If anything, I think people tend to pity them more.

But single moms are going to have a harder time finding a quality relationship simply because they are what they are: a single mom. The ones who are smart enough to be choosy and not latch on to any guy who happens to show interest wind up getting their "pool" narrowed even further by the good guys that aren't ready to be a "daddy" from day 1.

Single mothers are as capable of having a serious relationship as anyone else. Where the issues arise is the fact that single parents generally place the welfare of their children first. (As a single father myself, my priority is my son.) It's not that they are not interested, it's not that they are incapable, it is simply the fact that, for the most part, any potential partners have to tolerate playing second fiddle to the kids.

People also need to accept that single parents, like anyone else, don't necessarily WANT serious relationships. A serious relationship is not the only kind of human contact, and trust me when I say that a casual relationship can suit a single parent just fine. Besides, as single parents are consenting adults, whose business anyways what they do?

(Sure, the presence of children is accepted as evidence that a single mother has had sex. What it doesn't tell you is the circumstances, nor any details about her personality - you have to get to know her to find out that...)

I've never heard that single Mom's are easy, but I would suspect they have this reputation because they are lonely, and depesperate for love and attention. Seeing how sex is the number one thing on most men's minds, I would say that they feel they need to put out to keep a man's interest right off, as the men they do end up dating are few and far between.

My ex-g/f was like that and it was hard to understand what she wanted in life . She wanted so much but just couldn't get it from one person. It took 3 guys to make her life complete, heart, money, sex. She bounced from guy to guy looking for the "one". She has 3 kids and say if she had to do it all over again she wuoldn't have the kids. That way she could run more.
