What life lessons does he learn from his encounters on the river? Talk about the mature decisions he has made and the lessons he has learned from them. Does anyone have any ideas on this question?

He made the mature decision not to turn Jim in. This is also a life lesson because Twain is showing us that slavery is wrong, and Huck is slowly discovering that.
