Many, but not all, have an "S-Cable" connection on the back of the computer, with which you can connect it directly to the television.

You have 3 choices...

1. Hopefully your video card has HDMI outputs (or DV outputs with HDMI adapter), and your TV is HDMI ready. Then all you need is a HDMI cable.

2. Less video quality and not good at all for a PC, you may have a TV-Out connection that will connect to any standard cable TV connector. The best thing you can do is watch downloaded movies from the internet, but you still need a PC monitor to see the Windows settings and lettering to read.

3. Your TV may have a VGA input. If that is the case, just connect your TV to the PC, the exact same way you connect your monitor.

Depends which kind of computer. If you have a "VGA in" on your TV that might be the easiest. If you have a video card with a signal(coax,S-video,A/V, Composite, etc. and the TV has to receive those!) out and a program like Media Center Edition or equivalent you may be able to do that. There may be other devices USB or, but you would have to investigate that.If you don't have a video out you may be able to add a PCI video card to your Desktop.

You'll need the proper outputs from your computer (HMDI, S Video, RCA, or RGB) and the same compatable input on your TV. You'll need the cable as well.

I love Avermedia. I've used this before for recording powerpoint presentations onto a vcr. They have a product called an "Averkey".

There's one on ebay for pretty cheap
