Most japanese gals are using very few words: "maji (really, serious)", "yabai (risky, but in some contexts weird or great or "oh, ****!")", "kawaii (cute)", "uzai (annoying)", and every time they can intensify the meaning of the words with "cho (super)", like "cho-kawaii!".

Arigato gozimasu (sounds like ah-re-ga-to go- zai-mas) = Thank you very much

-san = Honorific; Bratiskimsan instead of Bratiskim is an honorable way of saying someone's name. You can either use this suffix with the first or last name.

-chan = another honorific but for children; if used for an adult it could be insulting

Ohayo (sounds like Ohio) = Morning

Ohayo gozamasu = good morning

Konnichiwa = Good day, afternoon

Moshi Moshi = Hi (used on the phone though)

You probably already know these. I'd go to the library and check out some books and tapes. Watch some anime and Japanese TV also. Immerse yourself in the language. Please forgive me if this isn't that much of a help to you.

Just grunt & moan a lot and say "sodaa-snee" and you will be fine!

And whatever you do, if you plan to write something, don't use letters! They don't understand letters, only symbols! haha..Can I get some more thumbs down for that one!? Haha.....
