Various clean egg cartons
Scissors with textured cutting edges
Colorful pipe cleansers
Items to be used as stamen (buttons, yarn,...)
Plastic or real leaves and wire (optional)
Colorful tissue paper (optional)
Get egg cartons that are clean and in good condition and in differ colors and textures, and those scissors with the textured cutting edges (that are not straight) and colorful pipe cleaners.
Cut out the places that the eggs rest in and use them as the flower part. To give the flower more fullness, cut some colorful tissue paper into a general circular shape and attach it to the inside of the flower part with the pipe cleaner to fluff up the inside part. If this is too big, don't worry, you can cut it down to size while it is in position in the flower. Use different items for the stamen part.
Use the pipe cleaners as the stems (which stick through the egg carton piece to hold it all together. Add leaves with wire or twist the pipe cleaners into the shape of leaves.

Go to http://familycrafts.about.com. This is a site for crafts that is broken down by age and interest. They have a pre kindergarten section. You may find it there, or something else that might interest you.
