i'd say they would i mean Rivers has brought the same consistency that Brees had there for 2 years. i think Brees spreads the ball out more. it is all on LT though, Rivers or Brees that team isn't anything without LT

This is coming from a huge Brees fan (I was furious when the Chargers let him go). And it pains me to say this, the Chargers would not be as good with Brees at the helm. After watching his whole career, Brees has not been able to shake one flaw in his game, and that is the tendency to make mistakes at the most inopportune times. The Chargers lost alot of close games when he was here, and the same thing is happening in N.O. now. Rivers is a winner, plain and simple, he doesn't make the kinds of mistakes that lose games, and he plays his best fooball in the fourth quarter, that's what the Chargers needed to turn them into a contender. Brees has the stats, but Rivers wins the games.

I think if Brees was still in the Chargers instead of Phillip Rivers starting, I would predict that Drew Brees would actually do the same as when he was a San Diego Charger.

I'm a huge bolt fan And hated to see Brees go. especially the way it happened. Rivers is having a great year as is brees I will stay with 12-2 with either one just diff scores. 2 loss by a total of 6 pts GO CHARGERS

Possibly better. I think Brees would have gotten Gates and the receivers more involved. They only lost 2 games by 6 points.

I could see Brees extending drives that Rivers didn't.

Maybe. Brees is running the offense for N.O. right now, who is not doing too bad. I think the 12-2 record is due to a combination of Schottenheimer's coaching and management abilities-he has built an impressive team, and LaDainian Tomlinson's running.

I think the same record, I think this because Rivers hasn't lost any games for them that Brees would have been able to win for them

Its pretty tough to beat 12-2, but with the way Drew Brees has been playing this season, I think they wouldve been better off with him than with Philip Rivers. Its tough to say though. Either way, you cant do better than the best.

I don't think they would have the same record, I think they would be maybe 10-4 ( don't think he could have pulled the back 2 back november comebacks).
