I am 23 and I have been to vegas 3 times all with friends... Next week since everyone is busy with Christmas I am going alone. Will this be ok? Everytime I go to Vegas I just spend my time at the poker, blackjack, sports book tables as my friend(s) do what they are doing... Most of my time is at the poker table and my friends don't play poker so they go play slots or blackjack and all we meet for is to eat dinner or something but everyone still has a great time. The only draw back is sharing a room when you bring a girl up... Next week I am going to Vegas next week for 5 days alone... Has anyone ever taken a trip alone before? I will have my own room to bring girls up to and the rest of the time will be at a sports book or in the poker room as I have done/seen everything in Vegas before. Thanks

There is nothing wrong with that, don't worry. relax and enjoy it. People are kind of scared of coming here (to Vegas) alone because, the strip mainly, is so big and crowded and flashy. The most important thing to remember is to not be a total idiot and BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS. Period. Pay attention to what's going on around you, who's around you, and it's always good to carry a weapon. I don't mean pack a glock, just maybe a small legal knife in a sheath. I'm a girl and I do. It's not that I'm paranoid, far from it, but you just never know. If you spend most of your time at the tables anyways, it sounds like your biggest worry should be going broke. If you like to drink (who doesn't) I would not advise getting completely smashed to where you have no concept of anything, and then try to make it back to your room. Especially if you've just won big. If you are completely out of it, just one over $5,000 and go stumbling around outside to try and "find" your hotel, I guarantee you won't make it back there with your money. If you must get tanked I would do it in the hotel that you are staying at, then you don't have to worry. Because even then if you win big, pull VIP rank and ask them to put your money in a safe until tomorrow, they'll be more than happy to oblige, that's what they're there for. Meet someone nice, take her back to your own room, and live it up! You'll love it! No worries.

I've done lots of trips to Vegas alone when I was your age. Used to drive and fly from L.A.. I've lost money overall, though not as much as in the stock market in 2000/2001.

I really don't recommend Vegas. It's a waste of time, energy, and you should really do something else, go to Hawaii, or Brazil, someplace else, even if it is doing menial jobs, just to see new places. A gambling environment is for losers, and there is nothing to be gained. I have never been back to Vegas in many years ---- it's such a phoney man made attraction, just to get your money.

You never know you might meet some one knew and then, maybe they will take some of your time up. Maybe they will even like to spend there time with you at the tables instead of the slots.

Why are you having second thoughts? its obvious that you thought it was OK when you booked the trip. Hey its only 5 days and you know your way around it so enjoy it.
