I read a squib in Scientific American about three years ago. It was so controversial, I am sure universities and the government hushed this discovery up. What happened was a group of archaeologist and students at a dig in south central Colorado found what they thought originally was and old(three thousand to two thousand year old Native American village. But with all the artifacts listed they concluded that it was an early Norse village that was at least 1500 yeas old. Since then I haven't heard or seen anything. I might be mistaken but it seems that I read in this magazine. My memory is going I guess, but I can actually see that something like this happening and the government hushing it up because they want people to believe that some idiot Italian discovered the new world, when there is so much evidence out there that the Norse were here thousands of years before anyone else from Europe.
