There is no such thing as the best because there are so many differing styles that each singer can be the best there is in that style. In the country genre alone there are so many top notch singers that picking a mere five would be so degrading to the rest who deserve equal recognition. You can love Reba but you can't ignore Dolly. You can love Shania but you can't ignore the Judds. You can love Garth but you can't leave out Hank. Willie demands attention but I wouldn't shrug off George Jones. Faith has a beautiful voice and Patsy had a voice that could reach down really deep into your soul.Personally I'd rather listen to something else than country music but I know music very well and just want to answer your question. I prefer music without lyrics so I can think about something else other that what a singer is trying to tell me.
