PS3 arnt real good right Now.Heres something I read up on.
The Sony PlayStation 3 is an excellent Blu-ray player with the potential to become a very good gaming console. But the PS3's limited selection of games makes the Microsoft Xbox 360 a better choice for hard-core gamers now. Everyone else should consider the Nintendo Wii, which is more affordable and (probably) more fun.
Starting at $500, the PS3 sets a new price ceiling for video game consoles. Games cost $60 and extra controllers, $50. But when you add the cost of all of the accessories, the PS3 is actually not more expensive than the Xbox 360.
Sony announced that only 21 games will be available for the PS3 this holiday season. Most of those games are either sports or violent action games intended for 18- to 34-year-old male hard-core gamers. We've tried several and concluded that most of them are simply graphically enhanced versions of games we've seen before. In comparison, the Xbox 360 will have more than 160 games available and the Wii will have 62 games.
While users of the Sony PSP will feel right at home using the PS3, other users could be confused by the interface. Keys aren't consistent or even labeled in every menu. Many menus are hidden. Some settings aren't clear.
When we examined the PlayStation Network, we were disappointed to find only a few Blu-ray trailers, video game demos, and downloadable games.
The PS3 comes packaged only with composite-video cables. To get the HD experience you paid for, you have to buy either a proprietary Multi-AV component video cable or a standard HDMI cable. Sony sells an HDMI cable for $100, but we found a 6-foot HDMI cable online at TigerDirect for $17. Component-video cables for the PS3 are available for $15 online from Mad Catz.

Did that guy just say that the graphics on ps3 are a "little" improvement from the ps2?? What are you on ******* crack?? Here's the thing ps3 has a blu ray disc player, which alone is gonna set you back at least a grand. Xbox360 doesn't option you a 60 gig hard drive...but they do offer an attachment......which is bringing you pretty close to the retail price of the ps3...throw in the hd-dvd player attachment that you'll also have to buy and you're going right up to or over the price of a ps3. The ps3 is a bad *** machine and we're just getting started. Xbox 360 on the other hand has been out for a while and the ps3 is already looking ahead. The ps3 has much more potential than the xbox 360 does. I would wait until about the middle of 07 because not only are the hot new games going to be coming out but sony's gonna drop about $100 off of the price it's at now for the 60 gig. But if you have the money go out and get it, all in all **** xbox buy ps3

600 bucks? Absolutely, freaking yes. Going rate on Ebay? Hell no.
It's all about the game, and the PS3 WILL have a lot of good games, such as Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy vs. XIII, Devil May Cry 4, Ninja Gaiden Black, Lair, Heavenly Sword, and God of War 3 in 2008 or 2009. It will probably have the most 3rd party support of all 3 systems.

Right now no! but im sure they'll drop the price of the ps3 bcz
of the fact that its christmas. Who doesnt want a ps3 for christmas???

Its worth every bit...if you figure it up to get an xbox 360 caught up to the specs of a a ps3 you would have to actually invest around 350 to 400 dollars and still the 360 is not as powerful...
basically sony is just forcing you to have the best and most powerfull **** that you can have.

Umm... I think Sony just got greedy. It is definitely not worth it. $600 price tag plus $60 games, plus controllers that disconnect because Sony did not master the wireless control, but instead just half-assed their way through it. This generation sony just decided that it would market by name. Only because it is a PS3 automatically idiots waited for weeks, got shot, were robbed, etc. and now they are stuck with a $600 blu-ray. Go for the Wii or 360, either way Wii is fun... see for yourself:

LAWL hells no son. the ps3 is retarded. the price is CRAZY high so you're losing mad moneys and you still have to buy games which are another 60 bucks each. go with the xbox 360 my brother and your gaming experience shall fly true like an arrow from an Englishman's war bow. Good day sir.

no the ps3 is not worth it. sure its gettin kingdom hearts 3 and devil may cry 4 but its just good graphix and a lil upgrade of the ps2(not that much tho)

I would say NO. I think it is too expensive. I rather buy an IPOD, and I can still have some money left for XMAS gifts for my friends. But it is up to you.
