How often are you disappointed? Who/ what caused you to get disappointed?

Almost never now, I try not to expect more than what I will really get. I'm just realistic about it.

When I am disappointed and it is not that often anymore, it is almost always in myself. I think at my advanced age I have learned enough to know that life gives you ups and downs and sometimes you don't need to sweat the small stuff. A trivial example is, you can't DO anything about the weather. Why be disappointed in it?

Tough question. When I was younger, I was often disappointed due to general circumstances. As I grew up & even now, started taking charge of my own life...less & less.

Now, when I'm disappointed, it's usually because I've done it to myself by setting expectations too high.

Usually with people where I work. Sometimes a movie ending
will be disappointing. I also get disappointed with people who
badmouth others or myself.

Now and then. I think everyone has, but most of the time it was close friends. But I can still get new friends wherever I go. No biggie. If someone disappoints me, there is nothing much I can do about it, is it?

oh, i set my expectations too high. john s disappointed me today. buddhism says not to have expectations, then you can not be disappointed. I was contemplating this today. I wish I could do it.

i dont normally get disappointed over things easily.... i love my life and i dont want to be worrisome.... i want my life to be happy....but i do get disappointed sometimes with people who cant understand and does not respect other people's opinion and beliefs...
