Ok I never respond to these, why I don't know. But I will tell you this yes I am gay, I also hold my ordination certificate and have been to numerous seminars, classes etc so I know what I'm talking about here. Christians take everything out of context and make it into the way they see fitting. No where in the real true athentic bible does it state that it is wrong to be gay, think about this the NEW king james version, the NEW NIV & or revised so on and so fourth, these bibles have been rewritten by man (not all of it) but like for instance in the scriputure that was quoted I think it was 1 Cor. 6:9 (also when it comes to scriputures I have some news for you bible thumpers, its called the old testament because its old law and it doesn't count, so those of you who read in this forums passages that were taken from the old testament its bunch of BS cause the old testament has no standing anymore, thats why god wrote NEW laws in the NEW testament) but anyway I know the word "homosexual" was put in by a man cause the real word that was in its place was mankind, which if you look up in the dictionary (I can't spell right now, I'm tired and have been working my a** off for the last few weeks and I'm very tired, so I can't spell right now and it don't matter) but anyway in the dictionary it says "all living human inhabitants of the earth". Bottomline is those Christians who misquote things, and take every word from the bible and take it out of context need to get in check with their own lives, least thee without sin be the first to cast the stone. So here is the answer no its not a sin or wrong to be gay, your born gay anyone who says differently doesn't know their right a** cheek from their left cause their not gay so they don't know nor have they ever tried to take the time to research homosexuality to get their facts straight. Their homophobic liars. The End (I actually am a really nice person and can get along with anyone but if your going to come into a LGBT forum, then you need to get your facts straight, stop taking things out of context, drop the stones, and learn about the LGBT history before you come here and pass your judgement and discrimination for something you know not even the least about)

I've actually never read the Bible, but I've heard a lot of people say that it doesn't condemn being gay, and that it was misinterpreted by the readers. I really don't believe that God had anything to do with the Bible anyway, so it doesn't affect me.

Not sure exactly, but I do seem to recall it mentioning that people should be stoned to death for being gay. That was in JC's time, but then again, he died at the age of I think 33 for pissing people off. He didn't always roll with the most understanding of crowd's.

Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 (the latter actually advocates the murder of any man who commits a homosexual act.)

Also Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 1 Timothy 1:10.

Other parts also imply it with the use of the word "sodomite."

Actually, if you read the TRUE, ORIGINAL writings and interpret them in their ORIGINAL meanings and intent, it doesn't say that ANYWHERE in the Bible. But people misinterpret and manipulate in order to promote their agenda regardless of the actual truth.
