I live in Morgan Hill, CA, just south of San Jose. Do you know of a good restaurant for Christmas dinner. Please no Chinese restaurants, we have that alot during the year.

I don't think any restaurants are open on Christmas Day (except for Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese) because they don't celebrate Christmas. Why don't you just cook for your family? it's more special that way =)

I don't know of anything in Morgan Hill specifically that will be open for Christmas Day. OpenTable claims to have reservations available for parties of 3 at the following San Jose restaurants:
Il Fornaio (Italian)
McCormick and Schmick (Seafood)
Spiedo (Italian)
The Grill on the Alley (American)
and in Los Gatos, there's availability at Crimson (American).
I can vouch for Il Fornaio and Spiedo being good, and of the two, I would choose Spiedo (just ate there night before last, actually).

I'd suggest a restaurant in a nice hotel. We stayed at the Sheraton Grand in downtown Sacramento for Thanksgiving and had a great dinner and would think that any of the nicer hotels in downtown San Jose would offer something similar. Good luck!

David's in Santa Clara. I've never been there so I can't say how good it is but as far as I know it's the only restaurant open on Christmas day. Good luck.

Crimson is an excellent restaurant. I have eaten there several times. It is woman owned and has a woman chef. The food is delicious and they make you feel as though you are a guest in their home.
