Tom Hanks gets so much credit for Big. It was the movie that transformed him from a clown, to a legitimate actor. I believe that this is Will Ferrell's Big and that the movie is well thought out, original, the actors are outstanding, and it is charming, hilarious, sad, and inspiring. I think it is worth a nod. Let me know what you think; Am I just crazy?

I really liked Stranger Than Fiction....much better than Babel :) I thought that Will Ferrell's underplayed performance was very good and I pretty much enjoyed every one in it. I thought the script was very good too.....sure, I agree with you....that makes you officially not crazy, right? :)

It is a beautiful work of art. The honesty is direct, haunting and I know she will love it. You did not ask for feedback, but I hope I do not offend you when suggesting some small changes. I know it is immaterial, but I feel compelled. I know when you are writing your college entrance essays you will use semicolons. I love you for who you are, and my words are just a tiny fly, like the one that you swat at in the summer and they are just noise, they are not even mosquitoes. Bear with me, Your writing is amazing. I just want to help. Please forgive me if these comments offend you. This is not meant to be a criticism. Starting is perhaps the most difficult thing a writer does; it creates a story. I feel like my life is based upon lies I’ve held from you and from my friends and from dad. Those lies threaten me from the very core. (no semicolon here, just a comma would be ok) inside of me, holding my life (could delete —in which I hope you didn’t already scan over— parenthetical aside.) (no semicolon again, Not one person could hear it, or so you thought) I hope that you can still look at me and see that little girl who tampered with her car seat while you thought I was sleeping.

I thought it was very good. Much more serious than I thought it was going to be. I'm not sure if it's best picture material, though. It is one of the better pictures I've seen this year.

For excellent, but quirky, movies this year, I'd have to go with "Little Miss Sunshine" for best picture.
