When I find a question that interests me and I want to answer it I never look to see what others have answered. I have been accused of lying about this. Not so. I want my answer to be my own not what others feel. I think others must do this also and it's why there are repetitive answers. Does anyone else do ith this way and why?

I notice that sometimes when you go to post and submit a
answer which takes a little longer before it hits the screen and
other people must be doing the same thing at the same time
and your answer ends up after someone elses that wasn't there
when you were typing in yours, you have the same answers .
Its happened to me a few times. Example:
I will read the 5 answers showing up , then post my completely
different answer then look at the screen and there might be 10
answers , two the same and I am on the bottom.

I answer before I read anyone else's responses.I find it quite interesting, how close the answers are sometimes. A couple of times though, I've answered the question. Gone to see what the others answered, and I had misunderstood the question. At that point, I have had to edit my answer and try to answer it again.

I write my own answer, then I look at other answers. Because:
I wanna see if someone wrote something better than mine or worse or a really intresting. But sometimes I just see if anyone answered before me. I am just intrested what other people say because it may be a lie or the truth or a really funny or intresting or sad stroy answer.
It just comes natraul to look!

Sometimes I look and sometimes I just go ahead and write an answer. When I look at the answers before I response it's because sometimes I don't understand the question and other peoples answers gives me a clue as to how I should answer it. I didn't look at the answers to your question. Honest

i just answer the question usually when it comes out...by the time i hit enter...there are like 5-10 responses above me...sometimes its very similar to my response, other times exactly the same with different wording and other times way off. so, i don't think about it. i have gotten both thumbs up and down for my answers. i just speak my mind. other times i just find the question amusing and those are the times i just read the answers and move on...

I always read the question and answer before I read the other answers. Sometimes someone before me has a similar answer, but that's ok, at least I'm not the only one who feels that way then.

there are repetitive answers because sometimes you click on something and you don't see any answers but when yours posts, it's way, way down the list. Yahoo doesn't post them right away.

I do it sometimes. I think it is better to answer without knowing other peoples answers because that is what allows you to have your own fresh perspective. Sometimes if we know how other people have answered it persuades us to conform a little subconsciously. so answer first! or answer without looking at other's answers, it guarantees integrity.
