My hubby and I have been looking into topless beach going and were told that Cape Canaveral Florida has Playalinda and Apollo beaches that have areas for going nude. Can any one verify this or that have been there themselves.

My wife and I have been to Apollo. It is a nice, non-developed beach where nudity is common within a certain area. The facilities are very rustic (no running water, no concessions, chemical toilet) so make sure to bring your own provisions, drinking water, etc.
Playalinda is supposed to be similar, but the difference is that it is in a county where nudity is "officially" illegal. I don't know of any recent problems at that beach, but be forewarned. I have not personally visited Playalinda but I have heard reports that it is nice.
Further to the south, Miami has South Beach (topless) and Haulover (fully nude). Haven't been to either of them.

i have been to playalinda and it was gorgeous and a nude beach. this was quite a few years ago, and the beach was getting some press for a few years with skirmishes between the clothed families who wanted to take over the beach and kick the nudies out. i think that has settled down now, but i wouldnt take my top off til i got on the beach and made sure everyone else was also au naturel
