Ms. I often get called Miss Amanda. It makes my blood boil. I correct them and say "Mssss!, that's Ms Amanda thank you very much!" (acsentuating the z sound)
I find Miss to be very demeaning. It's what they call little girls, not grown women. Here in the South where most women are married way too young, it's also a way they think to throw sand in your eye. Basically a polite way of calling you "old maid".
If I ever marry I'm keeping my name. So Ms or Mrs, my name would still be the same regardless of the preceding title. I don't feel that marriage vows should necessarily change my VERY IDENTITY as to who I am. I was born Amanda H*****, I will die Amanda H*****. My mother named me. No man has the right to change that, only I do.

I prefer Ms because I think a woman should have her own identity regardless of her marital status...just like a man has! A man is Mr. no matter what, but we have to publicly announce our marital status and likely be judged by it just by saying our names. But what I hate the most is when a couple is called "Mr and Mrs John Smith"...could you possibly marginalize the wife in that situation any further?! Anyway, that's just my opinion.

I am Miss F. Before that I was Mrs. H. I am not a manuscript! (Ms is the proper abbreviation for "manuscript.")
As My Steve used to say, that term was started by a magazine with the slogan "Stop being exploited by men. Start being exploited by women."

I would have to say Mrs. Woman, but whatever you want to be called depends on your personality.
