I was having symptoms of a yeast infection. So I went to the doctor and she told me I had a yeast infection and I should take an over-the-counter treatment. So I did but it didn't work. I tried again, only using a different brand, but that didn't work either. I saw a different doctor who gave me diflucan but that didn't work. She examined me and said she can't find any yeast, so she gave me antibiotics for BV, but I was still having symptoms. The doctor says she can't find anything wrong with me, but I am still having symptoms like lots of discharge and irritation. Does anyone know what it could possibly be and how would I get rid of it?

Well, if there's no yeast, and it's not BV, you might want to get checked for viruses. (They're not always STDs, so don't panic) You and your doc need to get to the bottom of this, because that can't be healthy!

If you are still having irritation, it's probably from scratching. I know how hard it is to not scratch, but I'm sure that if you stop scratching, it will feel much better. The worst part of a yeast infection is trying not to scratch. There are yeast infection creams that you can apply to the area for itching. Put it on, when it starts burning (and it will because it's already so irritated), just leave it alone, don't do anything. I know how very hard that is, but you need to do it. Do it before you go to bed at night so that it has all night to set in. Just do it and you should see results. Stop scratching!

Best you seek another doctor's opinion. Are you telling the doctor everything he needs to know about at least the previous days preceding the infection?
It is a good habit to cultivate continuity in your daily life, like remembering a few important things you did, or the actions you took, where you went, decisions you made, etc. Reflect on them the next day, or just before bedtime. This is not only good for remembering things you should know in case of illness, but, also as a way of connecting one day with the next, before life becomes such a routine, it's the usual forgetfulness we are told so much about.
Don't get overly worried for now. Worry doesn't solve problems, the act itself tires you out and gives you more problems. Just try to sit down in a quiet place to list down the answers to the questions above. You may yet get some understanding, then provide the doctor with more info to diagnose you better with.
cheers, dear!

You may had had a yeast infection previously, however you could be suffering from something similiar to a nappy rash, which isn't uncommon, get the docter to check it out again, or try an anti-fungal cream containing cortizone such as hydrozole.(available over the counter at your drug store).
If you are sexually active, it is always good to have an STI check, even if you have been using protection you can still catch them.

I think you need to see a competent MD and get tested for STD's
Having anal sex and vaginal sex without protection can transfer "stuff" from one area to the next and irritate that certain area.
