Had to be off work for at least a week, should I complain to the local council for not gritting the road??

have you seen your doctor yet Get it sorted for your own benefit. You will have to prove that the council had been negligent for a successful claim. If you want to look at a claim consult a special st solicitor

you have not said if it was a major road or side road as councils very seldom grit side roads.

not a good idea. unless you live in the usa then your able to sue for a broken finger nail.other then that every other country expexts you to think before you proceed. keep you head on next time. get some pain killers . they will help.
