They will eat just about anything. But not everything they will eat is good for them. Give the place you bought the mice from a call and they'll be more than happy to sell you mouse food.

Mice Will eat almost anything as anyone who has ever had mice in their house can attest to. There are many types of food you can find in stores or you can raid your cabinets and frig. They like cereal, bread, crackers, veggies, pasta, almost anything. What ever you feed them make sure you have a LOT of it. If you keep the male and female together you will literally be over run with mice in a very short time. Mice can reproduce every 18-20 days with new litters born before the first are weaned. I have included a web site that has more information. http://ko.cwru.edu/services/musfrming.html#prego

You can buy rodent food at pet stores. I hope you are okay with having a new batch of 8-10 mice running around every couple of months. They breed all the time. I had mice as a teenager and was able to give the babies to pet stores, but most don't take them anymore, because they already have too many.

Pet stores sell a variety of foods for rodents. If you don't know exactly what you are looking for the store clerk can point you in the right direction. It will be in your best interest to seperate the male from the female or you're going to have an army of unhappy mice running around.

Hampster or gerbil food is best. Dog and cat food works fine as a substitute. They need a variety of treats such as fruits (non-citrus) and vegetables. Get a book on caring for mice. If you have male and female mice they will breed continuosly and have 6-8 babies almost monthly and then their babies will grow up and start having babies together and you will have LOTS of mice very quickly so I would suggest keeping them in different cages.

There are small food pellets specially made for mice at Petco, PetSmart, and all leading pet stores. It's inexpensive. You can also feed them veggies like carrots, lettuce, apples. But, try not to feed them veggies too often because it will ruin their digestive system.
I've owned quite a few mice and rats, so I hope this information helps you more.

Happy Holidays!
