I can't decide! There are so many points of view. My main uses are internet, word processing, a little excel. Many of my friends have switched to Mac and praise the stability. However, it seems software and hardware is less available.

From what I've seen, you mainly want to switch to mac if you use your computer for artistic purposes. Their software is superior in computer animation, design, music editing, etc.

If you use your computer primarily as a tool for business or for ordinary non-artistic use, such as internet, word processing, and excel, stick with a PC. They work perfectly well and you will avoid many headaches over compatibility. As for stabilty, make sure you use Windows XP or higher. Some also advise switching to a different brower other than IE, such as Mozilla, but I have never found this necessary.

I don't think it's worth the effort and money to start using a Mac, if those are your primary uses.

Mac is for the most part, completely virus-free and spyware-free. So that's a perk, so is the stability...

I just wouldn't make the transformation if the Internet, word processing, and Excel were my main uses.

Switching to a Mac (intel inside) allows to to switch and keep using windows as well.

The new Macs can run both the OS X and Windows on the same machine......the best of both worlds.
