I'm not a huge fan of eyebrow shaving, my husband's ex does this and it looks kinda stange...she shaves about a centimeter in from the bridge of her nose, seriously!
I would think this was a bit strange even if she wasn't my husband's ex...Get her some of those shaped waxing stips and a pair of Tweezerman tweezers to get those brows in good shape...
There is actually a trend now coming towards a more natural brow...There is a magazine cover showing actress Jennifer Connelly on a white background that perfectly illustrates this trend, I can't remember which mag it was though!

wooo... she is one brave kid of the school.. anyway.. it is normal to do that.. but it kinda funny if you shave it in that age, like an obsession or something. well at least you have a beauty-concioused friend that can try and experiment everything..if it nice you can try it also..^^. Shaving your eyebrow can make it even thicker and can wound the eyelids/skin arround the brow. Plus it damage the thin layer of the skin called 'epidermis layer'. so.. I think plucking or waxing it is better.

Not a lot of people do it, but she's not the only one.
People do it because they don't want to wax it. Just because for that 'one night special' thing like a ball or party or something. So that it can grow back afterwards. Maybe they do it for once or twice per year. But to do it over and over again? That's not normal. She can get a pretty weird look when she stops doing that.

Lol thats funny. What actually is normal? But... I guess its not normal, i dont know anybody who shaves their eyebrows except in 7th grade when my friend shaved down the middle between her eyebrows it was a huge gap for awhile. She went back to waxing.

eyebrow shaving is a form of body cleansing. in the ancient times they shaved all the hair from the body to be cleansed and purified. It began as a spiritual purification.

I dont know if it is normal but it isnt good. The hair will continue to grow back more course. Tell her she can go to a salon and get them waxed for around $8.00.

If your thinking about doing i suggest not to.Only beacuse the hair will grow back darker and thicker everytime. Some girls do that at my school and it personaly doesn't look right.

I've heard of a lot of people doing this because it is less painful than tweezing or waxing.
