The best gifts are the ones that don't go under the tree. For example, last year my brother, who is in the military, surprised us all by coming home for Christmas. We didn't think there was any way that he could make it...but he surprised us all. He was home, happy and healthy. Now THAT was the best Christmas gift ever.

The best gifts are those that show some thought went into the gift; the giver truly knows the person and understands what they like.
One year I got hubcaps for my car. I know, any other woman would have been furious, I was delighted! I could tell that my husband really understood how embarrassed I was about the whole hubcap situation on my car (mine were mostly missing!). It wasn't the actual hubcaps that I liked, it was that he knew that I secretly was humiliated at the public state of my car lol

I got this adorable teddy bear form my boyfriend with earmuffs and a scarf on it. its so cute. and he gave me chocolates too. lol plus he surprised me cause he put them in my locker @ school so when i opened it tehy were sitting there :)
