How do you get the key off the door in the JK Rowling game?

I did everything and the chime turned into a key but the door wont open

On the beginning page, click the BRITISH SERVER! It works on that, b/c i was having the same problem! It must be some sort of bug on the American version! Good luck with the hangman game!

Yes, what you do is right but right now the door wont open.
It only open when JK Rowling have something to put inside.
