You can't reasonably expect to get a diamond for the price of a cubic zirconium. Red Sox tickets are difficult to come by. Some single game tickets are being sold for games in April and May. The Yankee tickets tend to get sold as part of a premium package. Check with the red sox website, http://www.redsox.com periodically. If you are unsuccessful at buying Yankee-Red Sox tickets off the Red Sox web site, as you likely will be, you can buy tickets in the secondary market, such as http://www.stubhub.com Expect to pay 15 to 20 times face for Yankee tickets (I went to a Royals game in September and paid 4 times face). If you are willing to see less popular teams, you will have an easier time of it.

You can't have a reasonable price for a game because (pending the game) the price is already set and cannot be changed.
Say your going to watch a Yankees @ Red Sox game at Fenway Park, and your going to be sitting on the Green Monster, the cost would be almost $500.00 (Im not sure if that's how much it is, but lets say it is that much) you can't ask for a more affortable/reasonable price. When the price is set, you cant do anything but to buy the ticket seat for $500 and watch the game.
Costs of a game ticket is pending on who vs. who, what time of the season, and/pr if the team is making the playoffs or not.

You can put them in an envelope for tickets to a different event. Maybe something he isn't interested in :) And then when he opens it, they are Sox tickets,

Almost impossible and when the Yanks are in town you have to prove you are a Sox fan. I think they test your blood or something. LOL
