Hi, I had the same problem at my band concert. Even though I'm 3rd Trombone and no one could see me, I was a afraid my bad band would mess up. I try to focus on my music and instrument, just think about later when you could go home and take a deep breath. Just get into the groove of the music. Once you do like I did in my jazz band, mistakes are less common, and even largish mistakes go unnoticed if you get into the groove. When you perform, remember. If you mess up, keep going. Just make sure you keep time and rhythm, and people in the audience like music illiterate parents wont know you made a mistake.

i recently had a trumpet solo in a concert and i tried distractiong myself until a while before the solo. also, deep brething the entire time before the solo helps. also, keep the thought in you're head that you are the first chair violinist for a reason (the reason is because you are awesome hehe)

pretend.
The key is you pretend your not in front of an audience and your at home praciticng your solo. Thats what i always do and it actually works. But dont focus too much on the audience look at the walls or the decorations but not at the people. Remember too always smile and dont get nervous.
Take Cae and Good Luck :]

Practice infront of your friends & fam. Just think of a "happy place." Sounds stupid yes i know, but it really works! I play cello and i'm aways in the front row where everyone stares at me. So it helps me. Also think of happy thoughts. It'll calm you down. And play like you'd play by your self, just havin a good time! Hope this helps!

Don't think about all the other people there. It really doesn't matter what other people think about you. What matters is what you think about yourself.
