Deathly, well, it's obvious what that means. Someone (2 people) is going to die, we know (I think it is Voldemort and Neville).
Hallow, is a holy person, like a saint or spirit/ghost. So a person like this must have a significant part in this book.
At first I thought the title was HP and the Deathly HOLLOW, instead of Hallow, so I thought it was related to Godric's Hollow, which said in the 6th book that Harry will go there. So my thoughts are changed for me.
I do like the title, but was expecting a little more I guess, something else. But, whatever the title I am still as excited as ever and cannot wait to know when it is out.

I am so confused because I can't seem to get a solid answer on whether "Hallow" is a noun or a verb. Most dictionaries only say it's a verb, but that doesn't really make sense. If it's a noun (the only place I could find this was on Wiktionary), then the title is something like Harry Potter and the Fatal Holy People, which also doesn't make much sense given the current plot line. But then again, neither did the Half-Blood Prince. Also a thing to bear in mind is that the title is rarely the main point of the book. For example, Goblet of Fire: Yes, the goblet played an important role, but it was NOT the most important aspect of the book. She can't very well go naming the book "Harry Potter and the Return of Voldemort" though. I think the book will turn out to be excellent, just like the rest of them, and also that the title will probably fit perfectly. The title is probably more fitting than something like Harry Potter and the Cheerful Bunnies. We know the book deals a lot with death.

The title to me is really surreal as though when I'm just sitting down, I'm just like Oh My God, I know the 7th Harry Potter title, but it still doesnt seem real. Even though just about everyone thinks that the title is 'bad' I think that after eeryone has the time to get used to it, it'll make more sense.
I think by 'Hallows' it means sacred objects or maybe people. Someone from hpana.com had an interesting thought that by 'Hallows' it meant these things in England called the 7 Hallows of England which include things like the Holy Grail etc. I like the idea that by 'Hallows' it means an object like this and that 'deathly' it just mean deathly as though they're dangerous.

I like the new title. I'm just starting to get a bit tired of people who keep mixing up "hallows" and "hollows." Since hallows would be sacred objects normally, the obvious direction for us to look would be the horcruxes. I do think the archway with the veil in the Department of Mysteries in OotP will come into play again.

I think the title may be referrring to how harry is going to visit Godric's Hallow which is where his parents were killed meaning deathly hallows.

Because i think hallows means sacred/important things or people and i think deathly means dangerous. So i think it means about a dangerous important thing. I think the title means Horcruxes. Because It is important for Voldemort and it's dangerous.

I find the title weak and dull. Im a huge Potter fan, but I have a feeling Rowling's final book is gonna be a letdown. But hopefully not.

Not sure what the deadly hallows are,but she admitted that Harry might die in this,but she is yet undecided

I peed my pants when I found out that the book was finally named.
I'm sure Voldemort will die (on page 248). And probably Snape. Malfoy will become the "new" Voldemort.......ever notice how he "collects" stuff like Voldemort did?
