Right now. I can't think of a last time, so I'm at a loss of words.

Recently when I was networking with a new group of business associates & friends...there was this one guy who I j"just " enjoyed watching ...even when he got close & we exchanged a few words I wasn't my usual carefree self. I think meeting him was such an unexpected pleasure I was at a loss for words most of the day...

this morning.

a friend
who's been "up" for a couple days now
--and who just yesterday woke up twice on the wrong side of the road doing 75...cruise control ("i don't know why i'm even telling you this", he said. "i could have just kept it to myself"
decided to drive to long island
to see his mam (and take her a box of chocolates)

so,
he put on the blue suit he really likes
(w/shirt & tie....that he muttered was "broken" 'cause he couldn't get it to tie "right")
and headed for his car.

he was in a very good mood.
even when i kept after him
w/my opinion about him not being on his game
so maybe he shouldn't go alone/drive alone, etc...

over an hour i tried
really tried,
since i felt he was
gonna just end up driving himself to the cemetery.

i ran out of ideas/words.
i had even asked:
"as my christmas present, let ------ drive"

i had to let go
& let the gods
(like they teach in aa)

he finally agreed to having ------ go along
and they left......
w/him driving.
stopped 6 blocks away
for coffee & gas.
(---- told me that he almost backed over an old man...who stayed waiting outside the shop to see if he was going to get back behind the wheel....i think w/the intention of calling the cops if he did continue to drive)

but, happily, he let ------ take the wheel.
and i mean he was...."happily"

so, everything works out.
--if i DO say so myself
(which i DO, when i'm not at a loss for words)

Everyday. Since I'm expecting, my word memory has been depleted. I usually can't remember at least one word from every sentence that I say. It's annoying for me and everyone talking to me.

It doesn't happen much to me. When it does, it is usually someone being an idiot or a smartass. Sometimes I will think of a comeback days, weeks, or years later. Thank God it does not happen often.

When my p.o. asked me why I wanted to quit a stoop-labor job and go to work at a Civil Service job.

When offered a job at twice the salary I would have asked for if I'd asked. I just let her offer me what she wanted. Jumped on it too!
