It's a punctuation error and I'm going for an administrative assistant where I would deal with proofreading.

hmm normally i would say no, but in this case, if you are sure its an error, and if finding errors would be a part of the job, go for it !

Hell yeah. I would bring it up as light-heartedly as possible. Ex. " Hey I was checking out the web site last night in an attempt to prepare for the interview and I discovered that you guys are in dire need of me." When the interviewer looks at you all dumb-founded. Just smile and say, " I found a punctuation error. You need me on the payroll now, this place is a sinking ship without me."

This is coming from someone who has been a manager and done hundreds of interviews with professionals. I would think you were coming across as negative and would continue this trend if hired. So ... send in next candidate please.

Plus if the company is a medium to large sized employer, the interviewer may not even know who to call to report the issue that you brought up. Bottom line ... will it even help to point it out. The only kind of company that this may come across as beneficial that you bought it up is in e-commerce. Since they are in this business, it probably would be appreciated since they have clients that rely on their web hosting services and an error could be construed as to the level of service that they provide.

try saying this:

"Actually I was looking at your website yesterday and I noticed a punctuation mistake on the 157th sentence of page 239. There was a comma where there should have been a semicolon. I guess I'm just born to be a proofreader."

Good luck :-)

they'd ask you what you think of of the corporate and why you chosen to prepare there. this is helpful to be attentive to a pair company history to coach which you're certainly fascinated to be a piece of the corporate. somewhat sucking up does no longer harm. this is advisable to point out how the corporate is extra suitable than that's opposition on your opinion too. understanding some thing in regards to the corporate and the marketplace that that's in makes you look knowlegable on the project and the corporate shape.

HAHAHAHAHAHA... I would be so tempted to do that... when I got hired at the job I'm at now... I proofread the employee handbook and pointed out all the errors to our HR Director... but I wouldn't do that until you got hired... good luck at the interview

No, don't. Just say, diplomatically, that you would do anything to upgrade or increase the quality or whatever, the site of that company and discover innovations to the highest achievement for the company.
But absolutely don't tell them bout the error, except if they ask you directly.

Yes, but make sure to do it at the right time, maybe more towards the end of the interview. If you don't feel like the interview is going well, then don't say anything at all.

Yes, it shows your interest in the company by researching it and then you show loyalty and caring about the company's reputation by pointing out the error

Good Luck with the interview

That could definitely depend on their corporate culture; some companies may see you as proactive and detail-oriented, others may see you as overly assertive and possibly bored as an admin assistant. Go with your instincts based on how the interview develops.

Or if they do not offer the job then point out the obvious error to them and let them know you can not work for a company that exhibits such mediocrity, lol.
