dvd to youtube?

please tell me how

i have a homemade dvd, only a minute long, that i want to put it onto youtube

i been having trouble, i tried dragging the file onto the desktop and then uploading it but it wont work, and it says the youtube converts best if its in mpeg-4,

when i play the dvd on my computer, its a Nero ShowTime File, i want to convert that to mpeg-4 so i can upload it onto youtube

please tell me! i been at this for hours!!!

It's not that easy, but you can do it for free with a series of freeware tools (personally I convert DVD to VOB to D2V to AVI).
