the playoffs is a new beginning for all the teams that make it in the playoffs. you can't say yet who will win cause usually a hot goalie going in to the playoffs does some real damage. the Stanley cup playoffs is the hardest championship to win in any professional sport in the world. it doesn't matter if you win the Presidents Trophy or even finish 8th in the conference all that matters is who whats it more. yes the Ducks are looking great but can they handle the playoff pressure when all the players step up to the next level of play. the Sabres are starting to fall a little and some teams have been doing great from the start and yes even the Habs are playing unbelievable hockey and Huet is are Savior. as of now the teams that look great and have a shot at the cup right now i would say the Ducks, Habs, Sabres, and the Sharks this are the most consistent teams playing right now with Huet leading the way in goal and you always need that goalie.

I don't know how many of you saw the Habs throw down the gaunlet at the Sabres the other night... But man, they are playing some sick hockey.
Montreal is number 1 on the PP, number 2 on the PK - We have 10 PK goals this year already! Our goalie has the best save %, AND we have the best 3rd and 4th line in the league... If these aren't indications of a great playoff team, and a team built to win the cup, I don't know what is...
Guys, this is a real sleeper bet, but seriously... The Habs are going all the way this year. And I'm going to be right there screaming my head off when they do....
GO HABS GO!!

It's still to early in the season to really predict this. I'd love to say my home team Buffalo, but a lot can happen in a season. I'd say that if the playoffs started tomorrow then the teams that would have the best shot would be the Sabres, the Ducks, (but thats a little too easy to say since they are the top ranked teams).

All depends on injuries and when they'll happen, but my bet is on Buffalo - many will say the Ducks, but when was the last time a team won the Presidents trophy and the Cup in the same year? Think about it....

Anaheim is looking like a sure thing right now. They have ten more points then the the second place team in the league. But if I had to choose a Canadian team I would pick the Canadiens.

I think people need to remember that regular season success does not always translate into post-season success.
I can't see Anaheim winning just yet. But I think Buffalo will come out of the East.
