They would fall into the Catagory of new Alternative/rock most of the groups like Dashboard Confessional,Story of the year,simple plan,Sugarcult,30 Seconds to mars,Breaking Benjamin and groups like Yellow Card would also fall into this Catagory pretty much any band from the Vans Warped Tour would also. hope this helped

id say it depends more on the album or song than the band itself
their earlier stuff is a lot more alternative

Pop/Rock..and they are also considered alternative..i saw them in concert last month!! They ROCKED!!!! I love AAR..and Nick too lol
