I am 39 weeks have been having pelvic pains for the past 8 weeks, I get to the point now where I cant even get out of bed sometimes, my husband has to help me out! Its hard to sleep, move, walk or even just changing a position!! Its nothing really serious, I talked to my doctor about it and he said that the baby is really low now, putting pressure on my pelvis, hitting nerves and that my pelvis is just getting ready and opening for labor.......It is painful, I know the only thing that helps is to stretch your thighs, everyday, before you go to sleep preferably so you dont feel that pain the next morning,...Sometimes when I would stretch I could feel my pelvic "pop" like you pop your fingers, kneck or back, that releived alot of the pain and they said it was normal just opening for labor.......drink PLENTY of water and do some lamaze moves...... Soon the baby will be here and you wont be feelin that pain no more!!!

pelvic pains are not labor. although i do recomend you consult your dr, i also had this. the baby is pushing down on your pelvis with her head, yeah it hurts. and your cerviz is probably starting to open. but labor feels more like the bad cramps you get in your back and stomach when you have diarhea.
