Buy Christmas tins from the dollar store and line with coloured paper. OR... buy a Christmas plate from the dollar store, and arrange the cookies attractively around a mug (with coffee ready made filter or teabag). Cover with plastic wrap. I've also used small bottles of alcohol as a centerpiece. You should try to make some cookies... they're easy!

What I would try is to put them on a decorative paper plate then you can either put Saran Wrap over it with a bow on top, or you could wrap the plate from the bottom with that clear plastic that you would use for a gift basket and then tie it with a festive ribbon. That's what I did when I baked cookies for my friends...

you could buy a christmas plate, put them on the plate with some chocolate kisses or cherry kisses . Use the colored saran wrap to cover them, tye a ribbon around the plate and add a bow.
You could also get a basket put cute paper napkins on the bottom then add the cookies and some candy. Cover with a christmas tee towel and tye with ribbon and bow.

You probably want to just gift the cookies. Some people don't bake, and NY resolutions make people want to stop eating cookies, so having the dough is temptation in the freezer they might discard instead of cooking.

You can buy pretty tins at the grocery store or at walmart or whatever you have like that where you live; they look nice, and they keep the cookies fresher longer.
