A noob is the same as a newb. This is refered to if somebody is or acts like they are or horrible at a game. Like in shooting games like Unreal Tournament, jumping around is considered noobish while boosting is more of an advanced move.

The correct answer is: The opposite of 1337. If somebody(like myself) is 1337, they are definitely not a noob. A noob is another word for "player that experienced people pity". To put it kindly, it's a term that means you don't quite grasp the concept of the game, and are probably a nuisance to your 1337 senpais.

Usually is used meaning new player but is also used for someone who plays the game badly. Common usage in mmorpg games like runescape, maple story, WoW, and Guild wars.
