Why does everyone write LOOSE when they mean LOSE? Is it a new internet slang thing? Like TTYL, and stuff like that?

I could understand if only a few people did this, but almost everyone does it. What the hell are they teaching in school these days?

No, it's called illiteracy.

Unfortunately they type so fast that they don't realize their spelling is wrong sometimes, it isn't the new computer lingo, its just pure carelessness and then there are those who really can't spell....but there is a check spelling little box above your anwer that can be used, but I guess they are too quick at typing that they don't see that either.

loose is the opposite of tight.

It's a very COMMON mistake, which is probably why you see it happen so often.
