I have heard digital programming will not be broadcast after 2008. Is this true?

It's the other way around. By 2010, it will be mandatory for all TV broadcasts to be digital. There is only analog and digital transmission. Digital being better. It would not make sense that they would discontinue something when there is nothing better.

Also, don't confuse digital with HD programming. These are two different things. You can have standard definition digital programming.
