Which sort of stains? I found that the Mr Clean Magic Sponge will get stains off the wall, except for grease stains. For the carpet, it depends on the stain, but Spot Shot works great.

TSP (tri-sodium phosphate) Is great for wall washing, but what type of stains are you talking about for the carpet?" There are many different products that work for removing different types of stains. One suggestion is to call in a professional carpet cleaner, they have all the goodies for many types of stains. I would suggest steam cleaning the carpet.

Stains off walls---Mr. Clean Eraser works great. And for carpets, a product called Awesome ( buy it at the Dollar Shop) is great!

Depends on the stains. I like **** and span for walls, it needs no rinsing. Use dish soap on carpet, it has a degreaser in it, scrub with a brush and then rinse the stain and dry with a towel and fresh air or a fan. Depends on the stain. Maybe Hints from Heloise is on here someplace, she'd know.

try scubbing bubbles, that stuff works on all kinds of things. I got oil stains, kool-aid stains, out of my carpet with that stuff. I got permanent ink off my wall with it also. But you might want to check it out on a corner or somewhere that is not very visible, just cause it might take the color out the carpet. It didn't on any of my carpet, I just would hate to be the one that told you use it and it happened.

You need to be more specific. It all depends on what kind of stain you're trying to remove.
